NOTICE: Sadly, AVP-NNM became inactive June 6, 2023, by a vote of the membership. If you are interested in reviving the chapter and have plenty of time, patience, determination, and a sincere commitment to living nonviolently, please email one of the co-coordinators (margaretmwillen@yahoo.com; jaitella@gmail.com).

Alternatives to Violence Project of Northern New Mexico (AVP-NNM) helps individuals manage conflict without resorting to violence.

We seek to empower people to lead non-violent lives by enhancing personal growth and  creative conflict resolution tools. Each year, AVP-NNM offers experiential workshops in prisons and communities — workshops that call on everyone’s innate power to transform themselves and their world. Changing lives one workshop at a time and one person at a time is AVP-NNM’s goal.
